The announcement is expected to be published between June and July, as revealed by the General Director of the Police Penitentiary of Goiás, Josimar Pires, in an exclusive interview with Folha Dirigida by Qconcursos.

To enter the career of a police officer in Goiás, it is necessary to have a completed higher education. The initial salary is R$5,707, which can reach R$14,031 throughout the career. In addition to the salary, police officers are entitled to additional amounts for extraordinary service. Pires emphasized that, during 24-hour shifts, the extra hour can yield up to R$950, allowing for a monthly salary increase of up to R$4,500.
There is no age limit to participate in the exam, but a National Driver’s License (CNH) in category B is required. The Brazilian Institute of Training and Qualification (IBFC) will be responsible for organizing and conducting the tests.
Police Penitentiary Exam BA: Preparations for 287 Vacancies
The exam for the Police Penitentiary of Bahia is in the preparation phase to offer 287 vacancies. The Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) has been contracted as the organizing body. Currently, FGV and the Police Penitentiary of Bahia are defining the schedule for registrations and tests, expecting to publish the announcement in the second semester.
To apply for the career of a police officer in Bahia, it is necessary to have completed secondary education. The initial salary is R$5,256, including basic salary, bonuses, and allowances. Despite the initial 287 vacancies, the union of the category is demanding the call of at least 400 approved candidates to meet the needs of the prison system.
Police Penitentiary Exam PB: 500 Vacancies Confirmed
Authorized by Governor João Azevêdo, the Police Penitentiary exam in Paraíba will initially offer 500 vacancies. The Secretary of State for Penitentiary Administration, João Alves, stated that the work for the publication of the announcement is underway, aiming to launch the exam quickly, respecting legal deadlines.
The vacancies will initially be allocated to the new prison in Gurinhém and will later be distributed according to the needs of other units. The position requires completed secondary education, and the initial salary is R$4,670.32, which can reach R$7,985.90 over the course of the career.
Police Penitentiary Exam RJ: 300 Vacancies Authorized
Recently authorized, the Police Penitentiary exam in Rio de Janeiro will offer 300 immediate vacancies, as announced in an extra edition of the State Official Gazette on May 30. Governor Cláudio Castro reported that the placement will be in the units of the State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration (Seap RJ).
The hiring of the organizing body and other bureaucratic steps are expected to be completed later this year. In a video released on social media, Cláudio Castro highlighted that the authorization of the exam is part of the government measures for 2024, providing a great opportunity for those wishing to enter public service and contribute to the state’s Public Security.
To compete, it is necessary to have completed higher education, with a degree in any field. The initial salary is R$7,337.58, composed of a basic salary of R$6,218.29 and a Professional Value Appreciation Bonus of R$1,119.29, in addition to a hazard payment and transport voucher.
