The new Toyota Corolla is extremely different and even more modern. Check out all the details of Toyota's new “powerful” SUV
Toyota revealed mid-life changes for the 2024 Corolla Cross, its highly successful midsize SUV in Brazil. The model received a new design, bolder and more modern, which promises to attract even more consumers, according to the Canaltech website.
New design and changes to the front of the Corolla
The 2024 Corolla Cross features significant changes at the front, with new headlights and a completely remodeled grille, combining a longitudinal bar with a perforated honeycomb bumper. The look, inspired by 100% electric SUVs, brings a unique identity to the model, which continues to be available only in combustion and hybrid versions.
One of the main changes to the interior of the SUV is the replacement of the controversial parking brake activated by a foot lever, which is now a button on the center console. This Toyota update, already present in the Thai version, should arrive coming soon to the Brazilian market, along with other design news.
Toyota SUV engine
Despite the changes in design and interior, there was no upgrade to the engine. The hybrid Toyota Corolla Cross continues with the 1.8 combustion engine, combined with an electrical system that delivers 122 hp of power. There is also a purely combustion variant, with the same 1.8 engine, but offering 140 hp of power, maintaining the versatility of the Corolla Cross line.
The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross SUV hits the market with a renewed design, which promises to please consumers looking for a modern and technological SUV. With significant changes to the front and interior, the model stands out as a attractive option in the mid-size SUV segment.
