Chevrolet Sail 2024: Affordable Car Around R$ 50 Thousand Challenges the Onix as the Major Competitor, But Unfortunately It’s Only Available in Chile For Now.
The automotive market welcomes an exciting new addition: apopular car priced around R$ 50 thousand, ready to challenge the popularity of the Chevrolet Onix, one of Chevrolet’s most beloved models. In a highly competitive market, where several automakers offer a wide range of options to cater to diverse tastes, the arrival of this new vehicle promises to further shake up the competition and provide consumers with an attractive option.
Meet the Chevrolet Sail 2024, the New Popular Car from Chevrolet
The Chevrolet Onix finished the year 2023 in Brazil as the third best-selling model, with over 102 thousand units sold, trailing only the Volkswagen Polo and Fiat Strada. However, there is a new affordable car that is poised to dethrone this favorite, also from GM, namely the new Chevrolet Sail 2024, which has entered the Chilean market, imported from China, with a sedan body, priced at around R$ 53 thousand, in direct conversion.
According to media reports, the car is one of the products from Shanghai-GM, aimed at emerging or developing markets, with more accessible prices for consumers. Despite being produced in Brazil, the Onix costs more for the Latin American automotive market than the Sail, which comes imported from China, thus, in neighboring countries, it would likely outperform its GM rival.
