While the governments involved have not officially confirmed the meeting, sources cited by the agency indicate that a senior official from the South Korean Foreign Ministry, responsible for issues related to North Korea’s nuclear policy, traveled to the Russian capital to discuss the matter.

According to reports, the South Korean representative met with Oleg Burmistrov, special ambassador of Vladimir Putin’s government for national security issues, which include the North Korean nuclear question.
