In an interview with SBT, Fabiano Silva, the company’s president, stated that it is necessary to routinely renew the staff, with notices every five years.
“Our goal is to keep the company always updated. We have gone without a competition since 2011, which is a long time. We want the renewal to happen regularly, with new competitions every five years, to meet the real needs of the company”, he said.
On this occasion, he also confirmed the opening of about three thousand vacancies in the new Post Office competition. The last exam took place in 2011, resulting in a 13-year gap without new hires in the Operational area.

According to the information, this gap has increased the staff deficit, a topic often raised by the union and a cause for strikes. Because of this, according to Fabiano Silva, the company currently needs to hire between four to five thousand new employees.
New Public Notice From The Post Office Expected For September
As previously reported by Click Petróleo e Gás, the schedule indicates that the notice for the new competition in the Operational area will be announced in September. However, the company does not rule out the possibility of bringing forward the publication. In any case, the planned steps are:
- March To July: Planning Of The Competition And The Bidding Process For Hiring The Organizing Committee;
- August: Hiring Of The Committee;
- September: Publication Of The Notice;
- December: Start Of The Hiring.
The process of choosing the organizing committee is already underway and can be finalized at any moment. According to the website “Qconcursos Folha Dirigida”, three institutions have already submitted proposals. They are: Cebraspe, Cesgranrio, and Idecan.
Cebraspe, which was responsible for the last competition in 2011, as reported by the cited website, is considered one of the favorites, while Cesgranrio is the preferred choice of candidates. The Post Office confirmed the intention to carry out the hires still in 2024.
“We are in the process, and the company is already being hired to organize the exam. The expectation is that the notice will be released in August and that the first hires will occur this year”, said the president of the Post Office.
What Positions Are Confirmed
The confirmed positions for the competition are designated for the general staff in the Operational area, covering roles for postal agents and analysts.
For high school level, the opportunities are for postal agent, including the role of mail carrier. At the higher education level, the vacancies will be for lawyer, systems analyst, social worker, and engineer.
The starting salary for postal agents is R$ 2,256.18, which can reach R$ 11,934.73 by the end of the career. For higher education positions, the initial salary reference is R$ 6,557.11, with the possibility of reaching R$ 26,013.50 throughout the career.
The Structure Of The Exams
According to information also released by the cited website, the exam will consist of objective and/or essay tests, medical evaluation for PwD candidates, and a procedure of hetero-identification complementary to the self-declaration of black candidates.
The exams will take place simultaneously in all state capitals and in the Federal District, with no expectation of tests in more than one shift. There will be no physical test, unlike the last notice for mail carriers.
