New LCL Service Promises to Streamline Imports from Eastern Europe to Brazil
Craft, a Brazilian multinational logistics company, announced the launch of a new exclusive LCL (Less Container Load) import service for the Port of Santos, responding to the new demands of the automotive industry. With automakers migrating from Germany to Eastern Europe, the company aims to facilitate the transport of inputs such as parts, materials, and equipment, capitalizing on the competitive advantages offered by countries in the region.
The Expansion of the Automotive Industry in Eastern Europe
The movement of automakers to countries such as Romania and Bulgaria, driven by lower labor costs and tax incentives, reflects a trend observed since the early 2000s. This shift not only reduces production costs, but also brings companies closer to new markets and consumers, strengthening their global presence. Among the major brands, Daimler, Volkswagen, Ford, and Renault are just a few that have established significant operations in Romania, taking advantage of the favorable environment for growth.
Launch of the New LCL Service
The new Craft service connects the Port of Koper in Slovenia with the Port of Santos, offering a bi-weekly frequency and a transit time of 21 days. This service is an expansion of the existing route from Prague to Santos, now covering additional countries such as Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Greece, while emphasizing Romania’s importance as a central hub in this new route.

Investments in Infrastructure and Economic Growth
The context of increasing investments in transport infrastructure in Brazil, including significant contributions to the Port of Santos, has been crucial for Craft’s ability to offer innovative and efficient services. The investments announced by the Ministry of Ports and Airports ensure continuous improvements in the sector, with the Port of Santos receiving the largest volume of investments, totaling R$ 10.64 billion by 2028.
These developments, along with Brazil’s economic growth, which recently re-emerged among the world’s ten largest economies, position Craft as a strategic and reliable logistics partner. The company, with a network of 1,100 specialists and 100 direct maritime routes for LCL imports, along with exclusive services, emphasizes its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction in a dynamic global market.
Conclusion
With this new LCL route from Eastern Europe to the Port of Santos, Craft not only meets the emerging needs of an evolving sector but also reinforces its position as a leader in innovative logistics solutions. Through the expansion of services and the continuous training of its team, Craft continues to adapt and thrive in the competitive global logistics market.
