The State University of Paraná (UNESPAR) has announced Public Notice No. 008/2024, opening registrations for the free Lato Sensu Postgraduate Course in Regional Dynamics: Nature, Society, and Teaching, aimed at the class of 2025. The course is in-person and offers an excellent opportunity for continuing education and specialization for professionals from different fields of knowledge. There are 30 spots available, distributed among advising faculty with different areas of expertise.
The main objective of the free postgraduate course is to train professionals to deepen scientific studies related to regional dynamics, covering topics such as culture, environment, society, and education. With a total course load of 432 hours, the course is structured into mandatory and elective subjects, along with research seminars and practical activities. Classes will be held in person at the União da Vitória Campus, with meetings on Friday evenings and Saturdays during the day, providing flexibility for students.
Available Spots and Locations
The free postgraduate course offers 10 to 30 spots, depending on demand and the number of approved candidates. Each spot will be linked to an advising faculty member, considering their areas of expertise and the research proposal submitted by the candidate. The course will take place exclusively at the União da Vitória Campus in Paraná, serving graduates from the fields of Geography, History, Pedagogy, Philosophy, Literature, Biological Sciences, and other related areas.

Selection Process
The selection for the State University of Paraná (UNESPAR) will be based on an analysis of the letter of intent, where the candidate must justify their interest in the course, propose a research theme, and demonstrate proficiency in written language. Evaluation criteria include motivation for the course (weight 4), compatibility of the research theme with the advisors’ areas (weight 4), and writing proficiency (weight 2).
Enrollment Requirements
Candidates must have a completed degree (licentiate or bachelor’s) in any field of knowledge and submit documents such as RG, CPF, diploma or certificate of completion, along with a letter of intent and school transcript. Applications must be submitted by sending the documents in PDF format to the course’s email by the specified deadline.
