The Social Opportunity Institute (IOS) opened enrollments for five free professional qualification courses focused on Technology and Administration, set to begin in the first semester. Young individuals looking to enhance their skills can take advantage of this qualification opportunity.
With 26 years of operation, IOS has already trained over 47,000 people, promoting inclusion and employability through quality free courses.
How Do the Courses Work?
In this edition, IOS offers 1,166 qualification spots distributed across 11 locations in cities such as São Paulo, Hortolândia, Belo Horizonte, Recife, and Porto Alegre. The free qualification courses, lasting up to five months, are in-person and aimed at young people between 15 and 29 years old, depending on the chosen course. To participate, one must be enrolled in or have completed high school in the public system.

Upon completing the course, participants can join the IOS Opportunity Program, which provides support in job searching for up to three years, prioritizing opportunities with partner companies.
What Free Courses Are Available?
- Business Management with ERP Software: This course trains professionals for administrative roles and is available in units in São Paulo (Itaquera, São Mateus, Vila Dionísia, Santana, and Barueri) and Belo Horizonte (São Gabriel and Barreiro). The age range permitted varies from 15 to 29 years, depending on the location.
- Essential Microsoft Office with Zendesk: Offered at the Santana (SP) unit, it trains young people aged 15 to 29 in the use of IT tools and management of the Zendesk platform.
- Web Programming: Prepares students to create websites, mastering languages such as CSS, HTML5, and JavaScript. Available at the Jardim Ângela (SP) unit for young people aged 15 to 17, and in Santana (SP) and Porto Alegre for those aged 15 to 29.
- IT Support: Focused on technology and computing, covers topics from systems (SP) and Hortolândia for young people aged 15 to 29.
- Power BI: Teaches the creation of dashboards and reports using the Power BI tool. This course, aimed at young people aged 15 to 29, is offered at the Santana (SP) unit.
What Do the Courses Offer?
The free qualification courses require no prior knowledge and combine practical classes in business management software with subjects such as Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Employability, Citizenship, and behavioral skills (soft skills).
The program includes corporate experiences that help students develop professional posture, communication, email writing, and presentation skills, among other competencies.
The IOS also has a multidisciplinary team composed of instructors, educators, psychologists, and social workers who closely support students, offering educational and emotional assistance.
