In a milestone for technological innovation, Danfoss, a prominent Danish multinational engineering group, teams up with Google, aiming to enhance the capabilities of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and drive pioneering solutions in energy efficiency. This strategic collaboration, announced in Sunnyvale, California, and Nordborg, Denmark, promises to transform the customer experience and optimize internal processes, establishing a new standard in sustainability for Data Centers worldwide.

The partnership between Danfoss and Google is a confluence of expertise, with Danfoss leveraging Google Cloud’s generative AI advancements to enhance internal operations and customer experience. The synergy aims not only at AI innovation but also at implementing sustainable cooling systems, marking a significant advance in the field of energy efficiency.

Digital Transformation and Sustainability

The heart of this collaboration lies in the application of generative AI to collect and analyze data, automate processes, generate product descriptions, and develop chatbot solutions for e-commerce. Danfoss, recognized for its energy efficiency solutions, is working with Google to develop sustainable cooling systems in Data Centers. This involves installing Danfoss Turbocor® compressors, which are notable for their energy efficiency and reliability, as well as implementing heat reuse modules, allowing residual heat from Data Centers to be captured and reused.

Announced during the AHR Expo in Chicago, USA, this strategic collaboration is an extension of an existing partnership between the two companies, founders of the Net Zero Innovation Hub in Fredericia, Denmark. The mutual commitment to accelerate the ecological transformation of Data Centers is now expanded, with Danfoss and Google reaffirming their dedication to building sustainable Data Centers using the most advanced technologies available today.

Jürgen Fischer, president of Danfoss Climate Solutions, emphasizes Danfoss’s mission to revolutionize the construction and decarbonization of Data Centers in collaboration with its customers, accelerating the development towards more sustainable installations. J.P. Clausen, vice president of Data Center innovation at Google, adds, highlighting the importance of this partnership to optimize customer experience, increase productivity, and achieve sustainability goals, aligned with Google’s aim to operate carbon-free Data Centers 24/7 by 2030.
