From Former Rural Area to Urban Luxury Symbol, Ecoville Underwent Accelerated Transformation Since the 1990s, Becoming One of the Most Valued, Modern, and Desired Areas of Curitiba
Ecoville, widely known as one of the most sophisticated regions of Curitiba, does not have official neighborhood status. According to the Institute of Research and Urban Planning of Curitiba (Ippuc), it encompasses parts of Mossunguê, Campo Comprido, and Campina do Siqueira. Even without administrative recognition, the name has consolidated as a synonym for high standards.
From Rural Area to Urban Modernization
The transformation of Ecoville began in the 1990s when large real estate investments completely changed the local landscape.
Previously made up of small farms and rural areas in the 80s, the region gained new contours with the construction of structural roads, such as Connector 5.

In the far south of Brazil, there is a city where the main street is divided between two countries, and a simple crossing of the avenue places the visitor in front of the Uruguayan peso, free shops, and another culture.
-
The Brazilian city that was once called the Valley of Death made it to the list of the most polluted in the world and later transformed into an industrial powerhouse that now concentrates chemicals, steel, energy, and one of the most radical turnarounds in the country.

The building constructed in less than 30 hours is not located in the United States or Europe, has 10 complete floors, 3,000 m² of area, and was assembled like giant pieces that fit together precisely.

In Germany, children go to school alone, use sharp knives in the kitchen, and organize their own free time, and parents believe that this independence from an early age is the secret to raising adults who are better prepared for life.
This direct connection to the city center was crucial in attracting luxury developments and increasing land values.
Thus, what was once an isolated and underdeveloped area became a modern and desired urban hub. The arrival of vertical condominiums and shopping centers solidified the image of sophistication.
Influence of Barigui Park
Another important factor for Ecoville’s growth was its proximity to Barigui Park. Created in the 1970s, the park has become one of the largest green spaces in Curitiba, attracting visitors and enhancing the value of neighboring neighborhoods.
Its presence ensured environmental quality and leisure options that increased interest in housing in the region.
Quality of Life and New Investments in Ecoville
Today, Ecoville is known for its tree-lined streets, enhanced security, and excellent infrastructure. Many families choose the area because it offers comfort, convenience, and easy access to services.
Additionally, the presence of multinational companies nearby strengthens the economic potential and secures the region’s status as one of the most valued in Curitiba.
