Discover How Laila Martins Swapped a Traditional Career for an Innovative Startup in the Educational Sector, Revolutionizing Student Recruitment

She left a solid career in a multinational to pursue her own dream – and now she is reaping the rewards of that decision! Laila Martins, a former corporate lawyer, turned a postgraduate project into a true education empire. Her startup, Saber em Rede, has already helped 100 THOUSAND students enter higher education and boasts an incredible R$ 8 MILLION in annual revenue, according to the website Exame!

From Corporate World to Entrepreneurship

Until 2017, Laila followed a traditional path in the job market. With a degree in Law, she went through trainee roles, internships, and analysis in a multinational, but felt something was missing. “The lawyer points out risks and often blocks projects. But I wanted to take risks and solve problems”, she says.

That’s when I decided to invest in the business world by pursuing a postgraduate degree at Insper. During the course, I came into contact with startups and discovered a new passion. But a major turning point came with her Thesis.

In partnership with Alaide Barbosa, who is doing a postdoctoral degree in Engineering at USP, Laila decided to turn a simple academic project into something real. And thus was born Saber em Rede, now the largest network for recruiting students for universities in Brazil.

Explosive Growth and Millionaire Revenue

What started as a Thesis turned into a promising business and quickly gained traction. Today, Saber em Rede has:
300 THOUSAND ambassadors invited in student recruitment
R$ 14 MILLION paid in commissions to partners
70 partner universities
Average growth of 150% per year!

With this rapid pace, the company expects to reach R$ 10 MILLION in revenue by 2025. And the innovation doesn’t stop: one of the main ongoing projects is the implementation of artificial intelligence to improve affiliate training, making the process even more efficient.

With courage, strategic vision, and a keen eye for opportunities, Laila Martins has not only created a millionaire business but also directly impacted the future of thousands of Brazilian students. And you, are you ready to take the first step toward success?
