Microsoft Partners With DIO to Fill Thousands of Spots in Free Artificial Intelligence Courses – AI, Considered the Profession of the Future. Training Aims to Combat the Shortage of Professionals in the Field.

Microsoft and DIO have formed a new partnership to launch the Microsoft AI for Tech program, an initiative that is part of the Microsoft ConectAI program. The initiative aims to provide free artificial intelligence courses for 5 million people by 2028, preparing them for the profession of the future and addressing the shortage of professionals.

In total, there will be 6 free bootcamps for the profession of the future, together offering 75,000 spots until June 2025, to address the shortage of professionals.

The free artificial intelligence courses provide practical training guided by expert mentors from Microsoft and DIO, with structured content designed to meet various knowledge levels. Among the free courses for the profession of the future that are already open are:

Creating Smart Prompts

In this training, Microsoft students will delve into the best practices for writing effective prompts with practical mentorship and the Refine Framework. Develop skills as a Prompt Engineer by exploring language models, guardrails, backstories, and prompt chaining techniques, with exclusive bonus material.

AI-900

In this training, students will master concepts such as computer vision, intelligent image classification, and document intelligence with AI. They will also become familiar with Microsoft Azure technologies while preparing to successfully take the AI-900 certification exam.

GitHub Copilot

Here, you will explore the use of GitHub Copilot while learning Git commands, branch management, and collaboration on open-source projects. You will also discover advanced refactoring skills and productivity tips, in addition to preparing for the GitHub certification practice test.

How to Participate in the Free Artificial Intelligence Courses

To enroll, simply select one of the courses from Microsoft and DIO for the profession of the future. The collaboration between the companies aims to change the training landscape in technology in the country, with an ambitious final goal of distributing over 200,000 spots by June 2025, aiming to combat the shortage of professionals.

However, it goes far beyond that, and these free artificial intelligence courses have expanded her knowledge, enabling her to practice more, understand better, and this has automatically impacted her career.

According to the Director of AI Training at Microsoft Brazil, Lucia Rodrigues, the goal, besides combating the shortage of professionals, is to provide access to the latest technologies for the population, expanding job opportunities.
