According to the Mayor of Macaé, a Meeting Was Held with the General Director of Perenco to Discuss Investments
Perenco, a Franco-British private oil company, will invest US$ 200 million over the next 4 years in Macaé. The announcement was made by the city’s mayor, Welberth Rezende, on his Twitter account. The meeting included the presence of Perenco’s General Director, Yves Postec, and the Director of Institutional Relations, Leonardo Caldas.

Welberth stated that “Perenco is a multinational that has already invested US$ 370 million in the acquisition of three exploration fields in the Campos Basin. According to the company’s director, the new investments will occur by 2024 and will generate thousands of jobs here in Macaé.”
“It is worth noting that the company already employs 35% of its workforce here in Macaé and spends, only on the acquisition of supplies, an amount of R$ 150 million per year in our city. With the new investments, this amount will be even greater, both generating jobs and boosting the service sector in our city,” the mayor of Macaé concluded in his Twitter post.

ANP Approved Perenco’s Concession Contracts in Shallow Waters of the Campos Basin Until 2040
The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels – ANP, approved the extension of Perenco’s concession contract for oil fields in shallow waters of the Campos Basin until 2040. This year, 58 well restoration actions are planned in the fields of Carapeba, Pargo, and Vermelho, including interventions in pipelines, well completions, repairs, and increased capacity of submersible centrifugal pumps.
