Statement from the Companies Regarding the Agreement
According to Kenneth C. Ricci, the director of Directional Aviation, an investment fund that Halo is a part of, the company believes that Embraer is designing flying electric cars that are well-prepared for initial certification, not to mention that it has a proven track record of production.
According to Ricci, the excellent production, design, and certification of aircraft that Embraer will bring to this eVTOL puts Eve at an advantage in the competitive sector.
For the president and CEO of Eve, André Stein, the partnership is a crucial step for the company to take a position as the global leader in the flying electric car sector. He states that the company is confident that the beneficial partnership with Halo will have a positive impact on various future users, allowing both companies to grow their businesses significantly.
The First International Partnership
The partnership between Embraer and Halo will be the first international collaboration among flying electric car operators and will benefit from the work that Eve has already been doing in the UK market, leading a consortium that is solving operational and regulatory issues to make eVTOL operations viable in London.
The partnership between Embraer and Halo, in collaboration with the “innovation sandbox” program, will result in one of the first operators to collaborate on this work, as well as the continued development of London as an attractive and viable market for UAM operations.
