From Ushuaia to Alaska: German Faces Swamps, Militias, and Unpaved Roads Driving a Luxury Off-Road Ferrari. An Unprecedented Feat
On a journey that combines luxury, boldness, and a passion for cars, a German businessman identified as Em Jay is drawing attention by adapting a Ferrari Purosangue, valued at around US$ 1.4 million, for an off-road expedition along the Pan-American Highway — one of the longest and most challenging routes in the world, connecting Argentina to Alaska over more than 30 thousand kilometers.
Ferrari Adapted for Extreme Terrain
Although it is a high-performance model created for asphalt, the Ferrari Purosangue underwent a radical transformation to venture onto roads that are often inhospitable. The modifications were carried out by the specialized company Delta 4×4, which equipped the vehicle with off-road wheels and tires.
The setup now features BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires, measuring 245/50 in the front and 255/50 in the rear, mounted on 20-inch Force Light Beadlock wheels, designed to withstand severe impacts and heavy loads — the same type of equipment used on professional 4×4 jeeps.

5 spacious and valued used sedans starting at R$ 45,000 offer up to 536 liters of trunk space, fuel consumption of 15.6 km/l, automatic or CVT transmission, and engines up to 144 hp
According to Delta, these adaptations ensure that the luxury SUV can tackle unpaved stretches, mountainous regions, swampy areas, and other common obstacles, especially in Central and South America.
Trip Includes 14 Countries and Passage Through Brazil
Before officially starting his adventure in Ushuaia, at the southern tip of Argentina, Em Jay shipped his Ferrari from Germany to Montevideo, Uruguay. The journey, however, included a special stop in Brazil, where the vehicle was displayed in Florianópolis.
“Yes, I brought my Ferrari Purosangue from Germany to Brazil for a ride!”, the businessman stated in a video shared on the profile @brasilvipcars.
The itinerary released by Em Jay also includes Foz do Iguaçu, Buenos Aires, and heads towards Chile. Along the way, he will face one of the biggest logistical challenges of the Pan-American route: the Darien Gap, a 106 km stretch between Panama and Colombia, known for its treacherous terrain and risks associated with the presence of armed groups.

Disguised as a Toyota, But Incontrovertibly a Ferrari
To try to go unnoticed in certain regions and reduce risks during the crossing of sensitive zones, Em Jay decided to remove the Ferrari emblems from his Purosangue. In their place, Toyota logos were installed. The strategy, however, does not fool the more observant eyes: the bold design and details of the sports SUV remain evident to those who know the model.
Technical Specifications of the Ferrari Purosangue

Not the First Extreme Adventure
This is not the first time Em Jay has transformed a luxury car into a long-distance explorer. In 2022, he drove a Ferrari Roma from Germany to North Cape, Norway, facing temperatures as low as -23°C on his journey through the Arctic Circle.
More than just ostentation, the businessman shows genuine enthusiasm for the act of driving. “I love Ferrari and I am one of the few Ferrari enthusiasts who also drives the cars a lot,” he declared during his time in South America.
