Businessman transforms a R$7 million Ferrari Purosangue into an off-road SUV to cross 14 countries in the Americas

From Ushuaia to Alaska: German braves swamps, militias and unpaved roads driving a luxury Ferrari adapted for off-roading. An unprecedented feat

On a journey that combines luxury, boldness and passion for cars, a German businessman identified as Em Jay is attracting attention when adapting an Ferrari Thoroughbred, valued at around R $ million 7, for an off-road expedition through Pan-American Highway — one of the longest and most challenging routes in the world, connecting the Argentina to Alaska more than 30 thousand kilometers of extension.

Ferrari adapted for extreme terrain

Although it is a high-performance model created for asphalt, the Ferrari Purosangue has undergone a radical transformation to venture onto often inhospitable roads. The modifications were carried out by the specialized company Delta 4 × 4, which equipped the vehicle with wheels and tires suitable for off-road.

The set now has BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires, in the sizes 245/50 at the front and 255/50 at the rear, mounted on wheels 20 inch Force Light Beadlock, designed to withstand severe impacts and heavy loads — the same type of equipment used in professional 4×4 jeeps.

According to Delta, these adaptations ensure that the luxury SUV can handle unpaved sections, mountainous regions, marshy areas and other common obstacles, especially in America Central and Sul.

Trip includes 14 countries and stops in Brazil

Before officially starting your adventure in Ushuaia, in the extreme south of Argentina, In Jay embarked his Ferrari from Germany to Montevideo, Uruguay. The journey, however, included a special stop in Brazil, where the vehicle was displayed in Florianópolis.

“Yes, I brought my Ferrari Purosangue from Germany to Brazil for a ride!”, said the businessman in a video shared on his profile @brasilvipcars.

The itinerary released by Em Jay also passes through Foz do Iguacu, Buenos Aires and continues towards the Chile. Along the way, he will face one of the Pan-American's biggest logistical challenges: the Darien Strait, a 106 km strip between Panama and Colombia, known for its treacherous terrain and risks associated with the presence of armed groups.

Disguised as a Toyota, but unmistakably a Ferrari

In an attempt to go unnoticed in certain regions and reduce risks when crossing sensitive areas, Em Jay decided to remove the Ferrari emblems of his Thoroughbred. In their place, they were installed Toyota logos. The strategy, however, does not deceive the most attentive eyes: the bold design and details of the sports SUV remain evident to those who know the model.

It's not the first extreme adventure

This isn't the first time Em Jay has turned a luxury car into a long-distance explorer. In 2022, he drove a Ferrari roma from Germany to the North Cape, Norway, facing temperatures of up to -23ºC on their journey across the Arctic Circle.

More than ostentation, the businessman demonstrates real enthusiasm for the act of driving. “I love Ferrari and I’m one of the few Ferrari fans who also drives the cars a lot,” he said during his visit to South America.
