The Santana field in Catu, Bahia, has a total of 47 wells, and the average production in the last 12 months of operation by the previous concessionaire was 40 barrels of oil per day and 1,000 m³/day of gas.
According to the company’s director, Alan Bastos, Energizzi is optimistic about the field’s potential. “There are 17 idle wells that we have already identified as having potential for revitalization. We also intend to utilize the natural gas production from the field to generate electricity for our own facilities,” he stated.

R$ 4 Million Will Be Invested for the Revitalization of the Field
According to the executive, the investment plan to recover production is R$ 4 million in the first two years: “The initial idea is to revitalize the field and enable other wells for operation. Once we have full knowledge of the reservoir, we can invest in drilling a new well,” he detailed.
Preliminary studies indicate that the Santana field has a reserve of 150,000 barrels. The company plans to implement new technologies to the production systems with the aim of increasing the field’s recovery factor. The current Development Plan is focused on a natural gas storage project, developed by the former operator, but Energizzi wants to maximize oil production from the field and is already conducting studies to invest in the field for this purpose and to review the Development Plan. The company will also request an extension of the concession term, which is currently valid until 2025.
