Engeman has signed a new contract with Petrobras worth R$ 60 million for the provision of operational, maintenance, and logistics services at the Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC), located in Cubatão (SP). The agreement will be valid for five years and includes support for petroleum coke, natural gas, and liquid sulfur loading units.
The contract establishes the operation of a team composed of 60 to 70 professionals specialized in industrial activities. The operations will focus on the efficiency and safety of processes, aiming to maintain the stability of the refinery units.

At RPBC, the focus will be on technical maintenance and logistical support for units that process and transport oil derivatives. The refinery is one of the oldest in the country and plays a significant role in fueling the Southeast region.
Company Reinforces Ties with Petrobras
The partnership between Engeman and Petrobras has been expanding through contracts signed in recent years. In 2023, Engeman was contracted to operate in the Roncador Field, providing maintenance, instrumentation, cooling, and cargo handling services on platforms P-52, P-54, P-55, and P-62.
In the following year, 2024, the company signed a R$ 95 million contract to carry out maintenance and cargo handling in Espírito Santo. The activities involve onshore and offshore production units.
In 2025, Engeman signed a R$ 280 million contract for integrated maintenance on platforms in the Campos Basin. The term of this contract is three years, with the possibility of extension for another 22 months, covering ongoing activities in state-owned units on the coast of Rio de Janeiro.
Operations at RPBC Include Technical and Logistical Support
The new contract signed with Petrobras provides for continuous technical support services at RPBC units. The activities involve operational support, logistical services, system monitoring, and industrial maintenance. The scope includes areas such as liquid sulfur loading and coke processing, as well as natural gas handling.
Engeman will be responsible for providing qualified teams to maintain the operational standards of the refinery, in accordance with Petrobras’s guidelines. The operations will occur in an integrated manner with the plant’s schedule, with coordinated planning and execution between the company’s and the state-owned team’s efforts.
Partnership Contributes to Fuel Supply in the Southeast
The Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC) is one of Petrobras’s most strategic units, operating in the production of petroleum derivatives used in fueling and petrochemical products. The unit also carries out refining and distribution activities.
With the new contract, Engeman now contributes directly to the operations of RPBC, reinforcing its role in critical areas for the functioning of Petrobras’s supply chain. The company already has a history of providing similar services in other state-owned units.
History of Contracts Reflects Technical Confidence
The recent contracts signed between Engeman and Petrobras demonstrate the state-owned company’s confidence in the technical capacity of the firm. Over the past few years, Engeman has expanded its portfolio of services in the oil and gas sector, focusing on industrial maintenance, operational logistics, and specialized technical services.
Operations on platforms and refineries follow a medium- to long-term contract model, with fixed and trained teams according to the requirements of each Petrobras unit.
