Engeman Signs New Marine Contract on Petrobras Platforms and Consolidates Presence in This Sector in the Santos Basin
The Pernambuco-based company Engeman, specialized in marine services for oil and gas platforms, has been gaining ground in the national market. Recently, the company signed a third contract with Petrobras for services on platforms in the Santos Basin (P-66, P-67, P-68, P-69, and P-70), consolidating its presence in this strategic sector, according to the website Petronotícias.
Gledson Braga, operations manager at Engeman, reveals the company’s plans for the future in the Santos Basin. The idea is to expand operations in the marine market for clients across Brazil throughout 2024. Additionally, Engeman is structuring the implementation of a Technical Qualification Center to train new professionals and meet the growing operational demand in the Santos Basin.
Current and Future Contracts of Engeman with Petrobras in the Santos Basin
Engeman currently has contracts involving marine services in different Petrobras units, including FPSO P-70 in the Campos Basin (private market) and in the Basins of Ceará and Rio Grande do Norte. For 2024, three new contracts with Petrobras are in the mobilization process, each with a duration of four years and the possibility of renewal.

The challenges of these contracts include unifying the scope and recruiting workers with the experience required by Petrobras. The company has invested in internal restructuring, including team, processes, and Integrated Management System (SGI), to meet this demand and ensure operational safety. The company now intends to invest in the Santos Basin.
Importance of Marine Services for Oil and Gas Platforms
Marine services are essential to ensure the safe execution of Petrobras’s offshore activities, including the preservation of the health and safety of the team and the environment. Without these services, the activities of the units can be interrupted, impacting the entire operation.
To meet contracts of this magnitude, Engeman is structuring a Technical Qualification Center and assessing the installation of a new operational base in Macaé or Rio das Ostras, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. These initiatives aim to ensure the continuous training of the team and the expansion of the company’s operations in the marine market and also in the Santos Basin.
