Engie Brasil Energia, formerly Tractebel Energia, is one of the largest private power generators in Brazil, with a market share of about 6.2%. Its own installed capacity is 7,868.1 MW, consisting of 31 plants operated by it, of which eleven are hydropower plants, three thermal power plants, and sixteen complementary: three biomass, nine wind, two small hydropower plants (PCHs), and two solar. It has 85% of its installed capacity operated from clean and renewable sources.
