It is currently one of the largest offshore operators in the world and is increasingly involved in renewable energy. Present in Brazil since 2001 – considered one of the company’s three main areas worldwide – Equinor is the largest international operator in the country in terms of operated volume, with an average production of 100,000 barrels. With a solid and diversified portfolio of O&G, Equinor Brazil has assets at different stages, from exploration to production, and important projects in development, such as Bacalhau and BM-C-33.
In the renewables segment, Equinor prioritizes areas where it can apply its extensive offshore knowledge to create value for its businesses and has been continuously analyzing investment opportunities. It has vast experience in offshore wind in different countries and sees Brazil as a potentially interesting area for wind and solar projects.
