With Over 20 Open Positions in Cities Like Madrid, Barcelona, and Zaragoza, El Corte Inglés Seeks to Strengthen Teams in Areas Like Fashion, Food, and Logistics. Hiring Is Already Underway.

If working in Spain has always seemed like a distant dream, perhaps it’s time to look at the map with new eyes and your resume with more care. The retail giant El Corte Inglés has dozens of open positions across various regions of the country, ranging from kitchen helpers to senior fashion buyers. And the best part: there are opportunities in Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Zaragoza, Córdoba, and much more.

This movement is part of the network’s plan to expand its team in 2025. The goal is to strengthen strategic sectors in food, fashion, maintenance, and customer service, and this may include foreign candidates.

Spain Wants You (and Your Experience)

The job openings published on the company’s official portal and disseminated through international recruitment channels show that El Corte Inglés is looking for professionals with and without experience, depending on the position. There is room for beginners in customer service and logistics, but also for specialists in luxury fashion, purchasing, and strategic planning.

The group, founded in 1940, currently has over 75,000 employees and about 80 locations spread across Spain and Portugal. In 2025, with the growth of tourism and the resumption of consumption, the goal is not only to meet rising demand but also to renew its workforce with new talent.

Where Are the Positions and Who Are They For?

The list of job openings in Spain includes a range from operational positions to leadership roles. Just to cite a few examples:

  • Kitchen Helper in Madrid, Barcelona, and Girona
  • Luxury Restaurant Chef in Marbella
  • Sales Assistant in Girona, Avilés, Zaragoza
  • Refrigeration Technician and Electrician in Madrid and Zaragoza
  • Children’s and Women’s Fashion Designer, as well as Senior Buyers, all in Madrid
  • Waiter/Waitress in Murcia
  • Seafood, Delicatessen, and Maintenance Professionals in various locations

Requirements vary according to the position, but knowing Spanish (or at least showing a willingness to learn) is very helpful. Some roles require prior experience, while others only need a readiness to work in a team.

How to Apply and Start the Process?

The process is straightforward: access the El Corte Inglés career portal (https://empleo.elcorteingles.es/?locale=es_ES), select the desired position, submit your resume (preferably in Spanish), and wait for contact. For higher-level positions, interviews and technical tests may be part of the process.

If the candidate is outside Spain, it is necessary to arrange documentation for a work visa. In some cases, the company’s HR department assists with this process, especially for strategic positions.
