Sete Brasil will negotiate with the winning company of the bidding for the 4 rigs. At the creditors’ assembly of Sete Brasil, the decision was unanimous, to try to improve the proposal of the winning company Magni Partners, regarding the package of four rigs, two under construction at Brasfels, in Angra dos Reis (RJ), and two at Jurong, in Aracruz (ES). The creditors and Sete Brasil were disappointed with the offer being 54% below the previously stipulated amount (US$ 554 million), and the intention now is to also negotiate with the Brasfels and Jurong shipyards, as according to the creditors, the high amounts requested for completing the works were among the reasons for the low bid offered for the purchase of the rigs.
