The decision of the assembly of Sete Brasil's creditors is to open negotiations to try to improve Magni Partners' proposal regarding the bidding of the four rigs
In a meeting of creditors of Sete Brasil, the decision was unanimous, to try to improve the proposal of winning company Magni Partners, in relation to the package of four rigs, two under construction in Brasfels, in Angra dos Reis (RJ) and two in Jurong, in Aracruz (ES).
The objective of opening negotiations is to try to improve the US$ 250 million proposal for the purchase of the Urca, Frade, Arpoador and Guarapari rigs.
The creditors and Sete Brasil were disappointed with the proposal of 54% below the previously stipulated amount (US$ 554 million), and the intention now is to also act in the negotiations with the Brasfels and Jurong shipyards, since, according to the creditors, the high values requests for the completion of the works was one of those responsible for the low price offered in the purchase of the rigs.
the assembly
The assembly decided to hold a new meeting on May 26, already with the intention of evaluating the new proposal, the result of the negotiations.
The creditors and Sete Brasil are fighting against time, as the pressure exerted by Petrobras has increased considerably, including the sending of letters of fines for the delay in delivering the units.
The creditors' attempt to enter into negotiations has little chance of success, as Magni Partners was the only one to submit proposals for the four rigs.
It is worth remembering that the Brasfels shipyard, controlled by Keppels, only made a proposal for two rigs, those under construction, US$ 35 million for Urca and US$ 15 million for Frade.
There are 22 creditors of Sete Brasil participating in the process, including the Keppel fels and Jurong shipyards, that is, 12 shareholders (BTG Pactual, Luce, EIG Global Energy Partners, Lakeshore, Previ, Petros, Funcef, Valia and FI-FGTS , Santander, Bradesco and Petrobras), five banks and five shipyards.
