The notice provides for document verification stages and deadlines for appeals.
Quota System and Inclusion
In accordance with Law 12.711/2012, updated by Law 14.723/2023, 50% of the slots are reserved for students who completed all of high school in public schools.
Within this reserve, there are specific quotas for candidates from low-income, black, brown, indigenous, and quilombola backgrounds, as well as for people with disabilities.
The notice also mandates the implementation of heteroidentification procedures, conducted by local commissions on campuses, to validate ethnic-racial self-declarations after the convocations of those approved.
Duration and Operation of Courses
Each course has an average duration of four years.
According to the notice, the EAD format requires at least 10% of the class hours to be in-person and an additional 10% of in-person or synchronous activities conducted in a virtual environment.
In semipresential courses, it is necessary to fulfill 30% of the in-person hours and 20% of synchronous hours, with attendance records.
In-person activities may occur on Saturdays, according to each campus’s calendar.

Access and Opportunities
Public policy experts in education highlight that the selection model based on academic records facilitates access to free higher education, especially in regions without on-site campuses of IFNMG.
The remote and semipresential format is also seen as an alternative for students who need to balance studies with work or other responsibilities, according to the institute.
According to IFNMG, the on-site support centers have technological infrastructure and pedagogical support to ensure student follow-up.
The institution states that the program reinforces the policy of regionalizing public higher education and expanding undergraduate programs aimed at teacher training.
