eDreams ODIGEO’s survey indicates that Rio de Janeiro is the third most booked destination for travel in 2026.
To reach the ranking, the company analyzed tickets purchased with departures scheduled from January 1, 2026, identifying the most sought-after locations so far.

The good moment didn’t start now. Data from the same study reveals that, in 2025, Rio de Janeiro recorded the highest growth in bookings among all analyzed destinations, with a 164% increase in demand. This significant leap placed the city in a position of absolute prominence.
São Paulo also performed remarkably. The city ranked in the top 5 of the biggest increases, with a growth of 49%, reflecting consistent advancement in international interest.
The ranking of the largest increases in 2025 was as follows:

Santiago (+102%);
Lima (+54%);
São Paulo (+49%);
Johannesburg and Pristina (+44%).
Although the focus is now on 2026, the previous numbers help explain the current scenario. They reveal a trend of strengthening Brazil as a competitive destination.
