Fiat New Product For The Automotive Sector Will Bring A New 1.0 Engine To The Strada, Its Classic Pickup
Fiat reported exclusively that its pickup Strada Will Start Using Stellantis’ 1.0 Engine. The Stellantis engine has previously been part of the Pulse, Fastback, and Peugeot 208, and now, according to the site Jornal Publicação, it will be included in the Strada.
The changes in the Strada go beyond the Stellantis engine: the pickup will now feature a new look with heavy camouflage on the body. The Stellantis engine will debut in the Strada with a power of 1.0 turbo flex, 130 hp, and 21.4 kgfm.
The brand’s goal, it seems, with the Stellantis engine, is to provide a vehicle that serves as an alternative to the Chevrolet Montana (equipped with a 1.2 turbo engine producing 133 hp and 21.4 kgfm).

The High Competition In The Market
In the face of overwhelming competition, such as Chevrolet’s Montana, Fiat is heavily investing in its Strada pickup and also in the Toro, all to counteract the “losses” brought by the competition.
Thus, in addition to Stellantis supplying the engine for Fiat’s Strada, the company will also provide it for the Peugeot Landtrek and the new Ram truck.
Besides the turbo engine in the Strada, Fiat will also install a CVT similar to that of the Pulse and Fastback, resulting in great acceleration agility for the Strada pickup, as well as excellent consumption figures.
All these components would provide Fiat with greater appeal against competitors.
New Look And Amazing Technology
Speculation about the look of Fiat’s Strada suggests that the vehicle will not undergo major changes, just a slight update to the bumpers and headlights, which do not present a gap compared to the conventional Strada.
Given the speculation surrounding all the changes to the Strada, it is only known that the pickup will have changes to the components mentioned above, that is, Fiat will not change the doors or other parts.
Moreover, it is known that the new versions of the Strada will bring internal changes. Now, Fiat intends to incorporate elements from the brand’s SUVs into the interior, such as the floating UConnect multimedia center, digital instrument cluster, and features like autonomous emergency braking.
The new Strada is expected to launch in the 3rd quarter.
