The exports of Brazilian agribusiness registered, in September 2025, the highest value on record for the month, totaling US$ 14.95 billion and consolidating the sector as the main driver of the country’s trade balance.
The growth of 6.1% compared to September 2024 demonstrates the strength and competitiveness of the national agribusiness, which accounted for 49% of Brazil’s total exports, according to a report published.
Even with a slight retraction in international prices (-1.1%), the shipped volume increased by 7.4%, primarily driven by beef and pork.

The strategy of diversification and market opening, reinforced since 2023, has expanded Brazil’s global presence and secured significant results for producers and exporters.
Beef and Pork Lead Rise in Foreign Sales
The highlight of September was the significant growth in exports of beef and pork, which led the positive performance of the sector.
Fresh beef reached US$ 1.77 billion, representing an increase of 55.6%. Fresh pork totaled US$ 346.1 million, a leap of 28.6% in value and 78.2% in shipped volume.
These results confirm the robustness of the production chains and the effectiveness of the commercial promotion actions conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA).
According to Minister Carlos Fávaro, the good performance reflects the consolidation of 444 new market opportunities opened since 2023, strengthening the exports of Brazilian agribusiness and expanding the international reach of national products.
Corn and Coffee Maintain Relevance in Export Agendas
The increase in corn and coffee exports also boosted the historical record of the sector. Corn recorded US$ 1.52 billion in foreign sales, an increase of 23.5% compared to 2024, establishing itself as one of the main agricultural products.
Coffee maintained a level above US$ 1 billion, reaching US$ 1.3 billion and growth of 9.3%.
Even in a global scenario of volatility, these results reinforce the importance of geographic diversification of exports and strengthening Brazil’s image as a reliable supplier of quality food.
The performance of these segments directly contributes to the surplus of over US$ 111 billion obtained by agribusiness up to September, reinforcing the role of Brazilian agribusiness exports in balancing external accounts.
Diversification of Markets and Products Gains Global Strength
The diversification of Brazilian agricultural exports has been essential to sustain growth in a challenging international environment.
In addition to traditional products, the country recorded significant increases in oilseed seeds (92.3%), watermelons (65%), beans (50.8%), and dairy products (13.7%).
This movement confirms the combined effort between government and the private sector to expand value-added niches and open new destinations, especially in Asia, Europe, and North America.
In 2025, MAPA promoted more than 60 international missions, in partnership with ApexBrasil and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strengthening Brazil’s image as a strategic partner in global food security.
The combination of health, quality, and innovation ensures that the exports of Brazilian agribusiness have a prominent global position and a solid path for the country’s sustainable growth.
