The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) Announces Public Competition With Hundreds of Vacancies for Technicians in Multiple Specialties. Applications Are Open, But Will Close Soon. Take Advantage of the Opportunity!

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) has published a notice of summons, through a public competition, for the provision of military service in a temporary capacity. In total, the FAB competition offers 514 immediate vacancies for technical level professionals. The hiring will be for the position of Sergeant of the 2nd Class Reserve (QSCon 2024).

Required Requirements to Participate in the FAB Public Competition

According to the notices, those interested in participating in the selection process must be Brazilian volunteers, at least 18 years old. They cannot be 41 years old by the date of incorporation. The FAB competition also requires complete high school education with technical training in one of the following areas:

Nursing: technical course in Nursing;
Design: technical course in Graphic Design;
Photography Processes: technical course in Photography Processes;
Topography: technical course in Topography or Geodesy and Cartography;
Administration: technical course in Administration or Accounting;
Construction: technical course in Civil Construction or Buildings;
Logistics: technical course in Logistics;
Laboratory: technical course in Laboratory or Clinical Analysis;
Electricity: technical course in Electroelectronics, Electrotechnics, Mechatronics, or Electromechanics;
Oral Health: technical course in Oral Health;
Electronics: technical course in Electronics;
Meteorology: technical course in Meteorology;
Aerial Mechanics: technical course in Aircraft Mechanics – Airframe;
Audio and Video Production: technical course in Audio and Video Production;
Aerial Mechanics: technical course in Aircraft Mechanics – Avionics;
Informatics: technical course in Informatics;
Aerial Mechanics: technical course in Aircraft Mechanics – Propulsion Group;
Electromechanics: technical course in Electromechanics;
Radiology: technical course in Radiology;
Communications: technical course in Telecommunications.

It is worth noting that the required areas vary according to the notice.

Know How to Register for the FAB Public Competition

Applications for the Brazilian Air Force public competition must be made through the official website until November 14 of this year. There is no fee expected.

All specific requirements and conditions for participation in the Selection Process are included in the Notice of Summons.

Volunteers must pay special attention to the Documents required for proving Specific Requirements and Qualification Parameters, focusing on confirming the requirements and scoring to be validated during Document Validation and Curriculum Evaluation.

In the FAB competition, technical level vacancies will be distributed in various areas of interest to COMAER, as outlined in the Notice of Summons (AVICON). Those approved in the competition will be assigned to municipalities in 18 Brazilian states and will undergo the Adaptation Stage for Privates (EAP), lasting 12 months.

FAB Opens Opportunities for Musicians

The FAB is also accepting applications until November 10 for the Reserve Sergeant Corps of the 2nd Class Called for Musician. The specific requirements and conditions for participation in the Public Competition are stated in the Notice of Summons. Vacancies will be distributed for the location of Brasília, in the sub-specialties of Clarinet, Trumpet, Bassoon, Trombone, Lyre-Keyboard, Snare-Battery-Bass-Cymbals, Keyboard Percussion, Harp, Piano, Viola, Acoustic Double Bass, and Cello.

There are several advantages to being a temporary military member, such as professional growth prospects, dental, medical-hospital, religious, and psychological assistance, access to socio-recreational facilities, and aid for purchasing uniforms and food.

Even as a temporary military member, one can achieve new positions as an officer and see their earnings increase as a result. Temporary military service can also serve as a stepping stone for citizens who wish to further their studies through specializations, undergraduate degrees, and postgraduate degrees, among others.
