Two companies in the aviation sector have entered into a new contract for the supply of engines. GE Aerospace and Cargolux Announced The New Agreement Between Them On Thursday, 19, and the supply of the GE9X engine for Cargolux’s new fleet of Boeing 777-8 freighters is planned. The desire to replace the freighters had been anticipated by Cargolux since October, and now, with the contract signed, GE TrueChoice will also provide services for several years to the company.

Aircraft And Engines
The engines included in the new contract with Cargolux are for the most powerful aircraft in history, as it will use the quietest engine ever made by GE Aerospace. The manufacturer’s engine provides low NOx emissions and will be used in Cargolux’s fleet.
In addition, with this new contract, Cargolux has become the first global operator to fly one million hours with GE’s engine, which, compared to the GEnx engine from the manufacturer, provides greater fuel efficiency.
