Register for the IFBA Selective Process! Free Online Graduate Course in Management for Professional and Technological Education.

The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Bahia (IFBA) announced the opening of the Simplified Student Selective Process for the free Graduate Course Lato Sensu in Management for Professional and Technological Education (EPT). With 200 vacancies available, the course is offered in an online (EAD) format, with mandatory in-person meetings.

The specialization aims to promote the improvement of knowledge in the area of Management of Professional and Technological Education (EPT), providing theoretical-critical reflections and practices on democratic and participatory management. The free online postgraduate course (EAD) has a duration of 18 months and a total workload of 360 hours, plus the preparation of a Course Completion Project (TCC). Activities include classes, forums, seminars, and assessments, conducted in a virtual learning environment, in addition to mandatory in-person meetings.

The Federal Institute-IFBA offers a total of 200 vacancies, distributed among six poles of the Open University of Brazil (UAB) in Bahia:

Selection Process

The selective process will be conducted in two stages:

Approval of the Application – Verification of the required documentation and fulfillment of the basic requirements.
Analysis of Professional Experience – Assessment of candidates’ experience in EPT management, educational management, and teaching. Points will be distributed as follows:
- Experience in EPT management: 2 points for each complete year (maximum of 50 points);
- Experience in educational management: 1 point for each complete year (maximum of 30 points);
- Teaching experience: 0.5 points for each complete year (maximum of 20 points).

45% of the vacancies will be allocated for general competition, 30% will be reserved for affirmative actions, and 25% for effective IFBA employees.

Requirements for Registration

To participate in the selective process, the candidate must be a natural-born or naturalized Brazilian, be up to date with electoral obligations, and possess a degree in any field of knowledge issued by an institution recognized by the MEC. Access to the internet and a computer is necessary to follow online (EAD) activities, as well as availability to attend mandatory in-person meetings.

02/12 to 02/26/2025 – Registration period
03/06/2025 – Release of the preliminary result of the 1st stage (Approval of applications)
03/11/2025 – Release of the preliminary result of the 2nd stage (Analysis of professional experience)
03/25/2025 – Publication of the final result
