A Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), through the Open University of Brazil Program (UAB), opened registration for the free, distance specialization in Teaching Sociology in High School.
The course offers 150 places, aimed at teachers and professionals with higher education in the area of Social Sciences or related areas, such as Anthropology, Political Science or Sociology.
The objective is to train educators to work in secondary education, based on innovative methodologies and an in-depth study of the subject's content.
Who can participate?
To apply, you must have a bachelor's degree recognized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in Social Sciences or related areas.
In addition, the candidate must have access to a computer with internet, basic skills in using technologies and availability to participate in two mandatory face-to-face meetings.
The first meeting will take place at the beginning of the course, during the inaugural class, and the second will be dedicated to the presentation of the Course Conclusion Work (TCC).
The vacancies will be distributed among five in-person support centers in the state of Rio Grande do Norte: New Currais, Macau, Natal, Patu and São Gonçalo do Amarante.
This structure allows participants to have face-to-face support at key moments during the course, while taking advantage of the flexibility of distance learning.
Schedule and registration
Registration for the selection process is open until the day 10 January 2025 and can be carried out on the official UFRN portal, through the Integrated Academic Activities Management System (SIGAA).
In addition, candidates must pay attention to the official selection process schedule:
- Registration period: 12/11/2024 a 10/01/2025
- Disclosure of the 1st stage: 15/01/2025
- Filing an appeal at the 1st stage: Until 17/01/2025
- Final result: 28/01/2025
- License plates: From 01 / 02 / 2025 to 20 / 02 / 2025
- Beginning of classes: 17/03/2025
