The nearly 5,000 vacancies cover free technical courses offered at 24 Firjan SENAI units, distributed in the Metropolitan Region — including Vila Isabel, Laranjeiras, Maracanã, Tijuca, Benfica, Jacarepaguá, Santa Cruz, Niterói, São Gonçalo, Itaguaí, Nova Iguaçu, and Duque de Caxias — as well as in the interior of the state, with units in Barra do Piraí, Barra Mansa, Valença, Três Rios, Volta Redonda, Resende, Petrópolis, Nova Friburgo, Itaperuna, Campos dos Goytacazes, and Macaé.
Classes are offered in the morning, afternoon, or evening, according to the availability of each unit.
The modalities vary: generally, 80% of the workload is completed in person at the unit, and 20% through self-study — that is, the student needs access to a computer and internet for activities outside the classroom.
There are various schedules available — morning, afternoon, or evening — depending on the unit.
