New working group for Green Hydrogen in Ceará

The initiative aims to support the spheres of government in establishing regulatory frameworks for the important Green Hydrogen market in the Northeast region and in Brazil, which has great potential for development.

It is worth remembering that Engie Brasil also signed a partnership with Invest Paraná for the production of green hydrogen and generation of new jobs recently.
The performance of the state coordination is guided by three major thematic axes: funding of Green Hydrogen projects; relationship with regulatory and environmental agents; and the demands of the productive sector of the state of Ceará on Green Hydrogen to create ways to boost the development of this industry.
Specialized and experienced leadership team
Ceará's Green Hydrogen Coordination relies on the expertise of three executives with relevant professional careers in the sector.
Cibele Gaspar brings her experience at Banco do Nordeste with a focus on Project Finance for infrastructure projects. Laíz Hérida, CEO of HL Soluções Ambientais, has over 17 years of experience in the sector, focusing on environmental issues related to projects already announced in the Port of Pecém.
Silla Motta, CEO of Donna Lamparina, has more than 25 years of experience in the Electric Sector, acting as a consultant in Renewable Energies for large corporate clients.
Support and integration with INEL
The work of Ceará's Green Hydrogen Coordination will have the support of INEL's Secretary and Deputy Secretary for Green Hydrogen, Luiz Piauhylino Filho and Frederico Freitas, respectively. They will have the role of establishing channels of communication between the demands of the state and the articulations that INEL already develops with the Executive Branch and the National Congress in Brasília.
The new coordination has the purpose of getting closer to all the state agents of Ceará that undertake efforts for the projects announced in the Port of Pecém.
This market is so promising that even the Germany signed a memorandum of understanding with the Minister of Mines and Energy of Brazil to supply green hydrogen to the European country.
I Paraíba Symposium on Renewable Hydrogen
The event promoted by the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) had national coverage and was aimed at the market, economy and regulation sectors. It was attended by authorities, such as the state governor João Azevêdo (PSB), and leaders from the energy and scientific sector.
