The account was presented by Felipe Garage on his YouTube channel, based on his experience as the vehicle’s owner, bought with 24,600 kilometers and used up to 30,934 kilometers, with expenses on maintenance, tires, and fuel.

The owner paid R$ 80,000 for the sedan, a price justified by the low mileage, maintenance history, and internal conservation. The analysis separates the purchase price from the cost necessary to maintain the vehicle.
IPVA, insurance, and maintenance weigh in
In Ceará, the IPVA mentioned for the Ford Fusion was R$ 2,601.34. The licensing was estimated at R$ 180 for local cars in this range.
The reported insurance was R$ 256.84 per month, with an employee discount, bonus six, reduced deductible, and R$ 100,000 coverage for third parties. Without this profile, the estimate could reach around R$ 4,000.
In maintenance, dealership revision values were cited between R$ 1,082 and R$ 2,706, depending on the mileage. For the main calculation, the third revision, at 30,000 kilometers, was adopted, valued at R$ 1,701.
Outside the dealership, the owner spent R$ 2,300 on a recent general revision. The service included engine oil, transmission, transfer case, rear differential, and filters, with Motul oils and original or top-quality filters.
Fuel and tires complete the expense
With gasoline at R$ 6 in Ceará and an average consumption of 9 km/l, the calculation for 15,000 kilometers per year reached R$ 9,600 annually, or R$ 800 per month.
The set of Delinte DS7 tires, size 235/45 R18, cost R$ 3,200. Considering a change every three years, the expense was spread over R$ 1,066 per year, or R$ 89 monthly.
Adding up IPVA, licensing, insurance, revision, fuel, and tires, the annual cost was R$ 17,717.18. On a monthly average, the Ford Fusion would require R$ 1,476, not considering breakdowns or financing.
With an average installment of R$ 1,500, the monthly expense would rise to R$ 2,796. The estimate indicates a near R$ 10,000 income to maintain the car without compromising 30% of the budget.
Suspension parts appear as a warning. The shock absorber kit was found for R$ 3,800, while original front trays can cost between R$ 6,000 and R$ 7,000. The normal cost does not include unforeseen events.
