About the GásLub Itaboraí Hub (Formerly Comperj)
For Marco Antonio Kronemberger, operations director of the company, the obstacle that Forship will face in the contract relates to the complexity of operating the electrical systems and steam generation, due to high voltage and the large volume of high-pressure steam.
“As we are responsible for overseeing commissioning, and consequently receiving the systems from contractors, we will have the added challenge of monitoring tests with a reduced team, due to restrictions imposed by COVID-19,” said the executive.
The Natural Gas Processing Unit (UPGN) of the Integrated Project Rota 3 at the GásLub Itaboraí hub (formerly Comperj) is expected to begin operations this year, certifying the growing volume of gas produced in Petrobras’ main pre-salt assets.
