UNILAB Opened New Positions for Tutors in Training on Ethnic-Racial Relations in Basic Education, with Scholarships of Up to R$ 4,590.00 Per Year.

The Universidade da Integração Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira (UNILAB) has open positions for tutors who will act in training professionals on Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations: Afro-Brazilian Identities and Africanities in Basic Education.

The initiative, supported by the Ministry of Education (MEC), offers positions for professionals who wish to contribute to the training of educators in three regions of Bahia. Applications are open until April 4, 2025.

Open Positions for Tutors

The training, funded by the National Education Development Fund (FNDE), represents a commitment from UNILAB to the training of teachers, coordinators, and managers in Basic Education.

The selected tutors will receive a scholarship of R$ 765.00 per module, totaling R$ 4,590.00 at the end of the training.

The positions are distributed across three hubs: Recôncavo (São Francisco do Conde, Santo Amaro, Candeias, Madre de Deus, Cachoeira, and Catu), Salvador and Metropolitan Region (Simões Filho and Lauro de Freitas), and Feira de Santana and Irará. In total, there are 125 positions available.

Requirements and Responsibilities of Tutors

Those interested in applying for the positions of tutors must have a bachelor’s degree or be in their final year in areas of Human Sciences, have experience in tutoring, monitoring, or related academic activities, demonstrate computer skills to collaborate in virtual meetings, and be available to participate in meetings and events.

Among the responsibilities of the tutors are participation in the in-person events of the training, organization of learning environments (both in-person and virtual), support for the training teachers in activities, facilitation of communication between coordination, teachers, and students, and monitoring the development of teaching and educational materials.

Applications are free and must be made exclusively through the online form available until April 4, 2025.

The training will have a total workload of 180 hours and will be offered in a hybrid format, lasting six months (from April to October 2025).

In-person classes will occur on Saturdays, in locations determined by the Education Secretariats of each hub.
