Petrobras and Ecopetrol Join Forces in Natural Gas Exploration in Block Gua-Off-0

Petrobras operates as the operator of the consortium responsible for the exploration of Block Gua-Off-0, through its subsidiary Petrobras International Braspetro B.V — Colombia Branch (PIB-COL).

The company holds a 44.44% stake in the consortium, while the Colombian company Ecopetrol owns 55.56%.

The group will continue to assess the results obtained at wells Sirius-1 and Sirius-2, fulfilling the contractual forecasts established with Colombia’s National Hydrocarbon Agency (ANH).

The exploration of Block Gua-Off-0 is aligned with Petrobras’ long-term strategy, which seeks to replenish its oil and natural gas reserves and strategically participate in the global scenario.

Moreover, the initiative contributes to the energy transition, ensuring the supply of natural gas as a more sustainable and efficient alternative for the international market.
