The Federal Government Agrees With The Gasoline Aid And The Expectation Is That This Benefit Will Be Available At The Value Of R$ 300. There Is Also The Expectation That A Benefit For Truck Drivers Will Be Created.
The Federal Government has agreed and authorized the implementation of the gasoline aid last Friday (27). The benefit may now undergo a faster review in the National Congress and, according to data released by CNN Brasil, members of the Ministry of Economy have given the green light for parliamentarians to approve the text in the Chamber of Deputies. The text that creates the gasoline aid was already approved by the Federal Senate in April. However, the text has been stalled in the Chamber of Deputies for about 4 weeks. There was a great deal of uncertainty regarding the position of the Federal Government on the benefit, which could be decisive for the approval of the project.
Gasoline Aid Will Be Worth R$ 300 Per Month
Currently, the governing base in both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate holds a majority compared to the numbers from the opposition. Thus, if the Federal Government did not agree with the text, the chances of approving the gasoline aid would be lower, since the project would not have the governing votes.
The central idea of the gasoline aid is to pay a type of voucher of R$ 300 per month to workers who need their own means of transport for their jobs. Therefore, this list would include taxi drivers, ride-hailing drivers, and even motorbike taxi drivers. The Senate approved the project due to the increase in diesel prices.

According to information released by CNN Brasil, the “approval” of the Federal Government for the implementation of the gasoline aid came from the Ministry of Economy. The ministry believes there is room in the budget for the transfers and, additionally, the “political wing” of the Planalto also foresees the need for new signals to drivers when there are price increases in fuels.
More Benefits Will Arrive Focused On Truck Drivers
CNN Brasil highlighted that the Federal Government has given the green light for the approval of a aid for truck drivers, however, there is still no forecast for values for this group, but the internal assessment is that truck drivers need benefits, considering the current Brazilian scenario.
In general, the goal of the Federal Government is to pay the benefit in the form of a voucher, with monthly amounts that can reach up to R$ 400. However, the final decision on the amount depends on various budgetary points.
In this specific case, the Federal Government plans to wait for the ‘dust to settle’ among truck drivers to try to avoid any strike movement among workers.
Gasoline Will Be Sold For R$ 4.85 At A Gas Station In Belo Horizonte
The Oceano Gas Station, located in the Centro-Sul region of Belo Horizonte, will hold a protest on June 2 against the high tax burden that comes with various services and products, reducing the price of gasoline.
The expectation is that the initiative, which is linked to a partnership between Minaspetro and the Chamber of Directors of Retailers of Belo Horizonte (CDL/BH), will be carried out by merchants across the country. The gas station will sell 5,000 liters of gasoline at a much lower price than the current average.
The fuel will cost only R$ 4.85, limited to 50 motorcycles and 150 cars. Motorcycles can fill only 10 liters, which amounts to approximately R$ 50, and payment must be made in cash. The Oceano Gas Station protest, without taxes, will help each driver save about R$ 85 on gasoline, while motorcyclists will save about R$ 28.
