Grupo Boticário’s Desenvolve Program Reaches Its 5th Edition with Training in Artificial Intelligence, Data, and Programming. Free Initiative Aims to Broaden Access to Technology for Diverse Groups. Registrations are Open Until April 14.
In another action of social and educational impact, Grupo Boticário announced the opening of 20,000 slots in free courses for the new edition of the Desenvolve Program, a professional training initiative in technology focused on social inclusion and increasing diversity in the sector. The information was published on the official program website and reported by outlets such as Catraca Livre, in a report published on March 24, 2025.
Focusing on Artificial Intelligence, Data, UX Design, and Software Development, the program is fully online and free, accessible to people all over Brazil who are in vulnerable situations or belong to underrepresented groups, such as women, black people, people with disabilities, and those over 45 years old. Registrations are open until April 14, through the website.
Structure of Free Courses from Grupo Boticário
The free online courses are divided into two phases. The first phase, with 20,000 slots, is introductory and covers Fundamentals of Data and Artificial Intelligence, with a workload of 20 hours. The second phase will focus on technical specialization, with 1,000 slots distributed among three learning tracks:

Pursue a doctorate at MEC: the portal offers free spots in public universities, gathers open calls throughout Brazil, and highlights selections with 44 spots at UFFS, 37 at Unifesp, and open applications for a doctorate in Education at UERGS.

New free training in artificial intelligence offered by the government promises to train thousands of public service professionals with online classes, automation tools, predictive analysis, and strategic use of AI to accelerate digital transformation in Brazil.

Fiocruz offers over 3,000 spots in free online courses with 120 hours of duration, free certification, and registration open until August 2026; the training covers mental health, quality of life, and innovation in the Brazilian penitentiary system.

- Data Engineering (360 slots);
- UX Design (190 slots).
The second phase will take place from June 9 to October 10, 2025, with live classes three times a week, from 7 PM to 10 PM. Participants who complete the first phase by May 17 will be able to compete for a spot in this more advanced stage.
According to Grupo Boticário itself, the program’s goal is to democratize access to quality technological education, allowing new talents to qualify for areas with high labor demand. In 2024, the previous edition of Desenvolve had over 30,000 applicants.
Who Can Participate?
To participate in Phase 1, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be 18 years or older by March 23, 2025;
- Have completed high school by the same date;
- Have a family per capita income of up to R$ 3,795.00 (equivalent to 2.5 minimum wages);
- Reside in Brazil and not be an employee of Grupo Boticário;
- Not have participated in previous editions of the program;
- Have access to a computer with internet and availability to complete 20 hours of Phase 1.
For Phase 2, selected participants must have availability for live classes and dedicate themselves to completing 160 hours of technical and practical content.
How to Register
Registrations must be made exclusively through the website desenvolve.grupoboticario.com.br. The form requires personal data, income information, education level, and availability, as well as a self-declaration of belonging to one of the priority groups.
