The leadership of the Strada was not limited to the daily snapshot.

In the partial year summary, the model remained ahead of the second place, the Volkswagen Polo, with a difference of over four thousand units, according to numbers released by platforms that track registrations with the Detrans.

This type of performance follows a pattern observed in recent years.

Institutional information released by Fiat itself indicates that the Strada ended 2025 as the best-selling vehicle in the country for the fifth consecutive year, with 142,901 units registered and an approximate market share of 5.6% in the national market.

In public discussions, the model is often associated with consumers linked to agribusiness, especially in digital environments where the term “agroboys” has become popular as a cultural reference.

Still, market data indicate that the presence of the Strada is broad and includes urban use, corporate fleets, and commercial applications, which helps explain its high sales volume in different regions of the country.

Volkswagen Polo Remains the Main Competitor in the General Ranking

In the same survey on January 26, the Volkswagen Polo occupied second place in the daily ranking, with 319 units registered.

In the accumulated year until that date, the hatch recorded 4,208 units, remaining the best-selling passenger car at the beginning of 2026.

In segment analyses, the Strada appears classified as a light commercial vehicle, while the Polo is part of the automobile category.

In the overall ranking, however, both are counted together, placing the two models in direct competition for the top positions when the criterion is total registration volume.

Compact Hatchbacks Compete for Positions with Tera and Argo

The Volkswagen Tera appeared in third position in the daily ranking on January 26, with 274 units registered.

Just behind, the Fiat Argo took fourth place, with 239 registrations on the same day.

Looking at the accumulated year until that date, the two models also appear close.

The Argo totaled 3,478 units, occupying the sixth overall position, while the Tera registered 3,398, appearing in seventh place.

In total, estimated sales for January 26 reached approximately 6,600 vehicles across the country.
