A viral TikTok video caught attention after Mexican creator and musician @a.insulini showed an unusual gift received from a nine-year-old boy: a jar of rocks which, after being examined under ultraviolet light, was revealed to contain uranium. The case involved Nicolás, a young geology enthusiast living in Naucalpan, Mexico, and transformed a simple delivery of minerals into a conversation about chemistry, mineralogy, and safety.

The creator recounted that he received the gift accompanied by an invitation to visit the boy’s home and see his rock collection. Inside the jar were several samples gathered by Nicolás, who already showed an interest in geology and different types of minerals.

The surprise occurred when the rocks were subjected to ultraviolet light. One of the samples stood out for containing uranium, which led the science communicator to react with astonishment at the discovery made from a gift sent by a child.
