Recently, the company signed a contract to supply inter array cables for the Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 offshore wind farms off the coast of Poland. Hellenic Cables has been appointed by Seaway 7 as the main subcontractor for the project, manufacturing, testing, and supplying up to 205 km of 66kV inter array submarine cables and related accessories for these projects.
A joint venture between Equinor and Polenergia is developing the Bałtyk 2&3 offshore wind projects, which cover areas of 122 km2 and 117 km2, respectively, at water depths ranging from 20 to 45 meters. Hellenic Cables will manufacture the submarine cables at its factory in Corinth, Greece. All necessary cables will be delivered in the first half of 2026. Alexis Alexiou, CEO of Cenergy Holdings, said: ‘We are very honored with this new contract awarded by Seaway 7, where we will provide inter array cable systems for the Bałtyk 2&3 offshore wind projects. ‘We are excited and looking forward to delivering the project safely and supporting the energy transition in the Baltic region.’
