New generation of Hyundai Creta begins to reveal profound changes before its scheduled 2028 debut as a 2029 model, bringing a more technological cabin, Pleos Connect system, larger wheels, a comfort-oriented proposal, the possibility of hybrid powertrain, and a Hyundai strategy that also involves the arrival of the mild-hybrid Bayon to the Brazilian market in the coming years
The new generation of the Hyundai Creta, expected as a 2029 model, has already appeared in spy shots and anticipated important changes. Therefore, the SUV should gain an unprecedented design, a more technological cabin, and electrified options. According to AutoPapo, Quatro Rodas, and CarWale, the most recent registrations emerged in May 2026.
Meanwhile, the model is expected to occupy a position above the future Hyundai Bayon in Brazil. In some markets, the new Creta may also take over part of the space currently linked to the Kona. With this, Hyundai reinforces a broader strategy for compact and medium SUVs.
New Creta Cabin Bets on Larger Screen and Pleos Connect
However, the main novelty revealed in the spy shots is the interior. The Hyundai Creta 2029 is expected to abandon the current setup of two 10.25-inch screens. Instead, the SUV should adopt a larger multimedia center and a more compact digital panel.

A PRF Ford Ranger appears in a version prepared for highway operations, with a diesel engine, 4×4 drive, two-way radio, emergency lights, and internal controls that show how a common pickup truck becomes a police vehicle in Brazil for daily patrolling and police support.

In this sense, the Pleos Connect system appears as a highlight of the new cabin. The proposal indicates a more connected experience, focusing on essential information for the driver. Therefore, the interior should be cleaner, more modern, and functional.
Comfort and Exterior Look Also Change
On the other hand, the passenger seat drew attention for its extended adjustment. Thus, the new Creta should offer a proposal more focused on comfort, especially on long journeys.
On the exterior, the prototype appeared with 19-inch wheels, larger than those used in the current Creta. This detail reinforces the visual change expected for the new generation. The concept was presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2025, according to the base text.

Hybrid Version Expected to Mark New Phase for the SUV
Still, the definitive powertrain has not been confirmed. However, the expectation is that the model will retain updated combustion engines. At the same time, the SUV is expected to gain at least one hybrid version.
The hybrid Creta could mark an important turning point in the national lineup. Electrification, therefore, should bring the model closer to new market demands.
Bayon Arrives Earlier and Prepares the Way
Before that, Hyundai is preparing the launch of the Bayon in Brazil. According to Quatro Rodas, the production of the new compact SUV was confirmed in March 2026.
In addition to the industrial schedule, the Bayon is expected to debut between the end of this year and early 2027. The model should arrive with a mild-hybrid flex option. Following this plan, the new Creta is expected for 2028, already as a 2029 model.
Hyundai is set to reorganize its SUV family in Brazil. After all, between Bayon and Creta, the brand is preparing an offensive with more technology, electrification, and visual appeal.
