With turbo engine and embedded technology, the South Korean brand brings the Hyundai HB20 Platinum 2024 to the Brazilian market with the aim of challenging the famous VW Polo Comfortline. The model is one of the most interesting in the category and is priced at R$ 112,590, and in this article you will learn all the details about the new model.

In front, we have a revamped design that we already know, which has improved a lot, featuring a large grille in shiny black, however, one thing that falls short is its simple lighting, with headlights that have only one parabola, with turn signals and fog lights further down.

Another highlight of this version of the Hyundai HB20 Platinum 2024 is the wheel design, with a sporty feel, blending two finish tones and 16-inch rims. The model’s rearview mirror has turn signal repeaters, the door handle is chrome, and the B and C pillars are in matte black, with a shark fin antenna.

The model comes with traction and stability control, standard fabric seats with manual height and recline adjustments, a multifunction steering wheel covered in leather with multimedia and dashboard configurations. The column adjustment is done manually, both in height and depth.

The Hyundai HB20 Platinum 2024 dashboard features a 4.2-inch screen that shows speed, fuel level, RPM, and temperature, but it is also possible to change the data through the steering wheel, which can also display information about the route, distance traveled, average consumption, fueling information, and accumulated consumption data, user adjustments, driver assistance, among others.

The multimedia system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and just below there are alert, lock, start-stop button commands, manual air conditioning, storage compartments, with Type C USB socket, regular USB, and 12V.

Its transmission is a 6-speed automatic and the VW Polo Comfortline rival is equipped with a 1.0 turbo GDI flex engine, which delivers 120 horsepower for both fuels, as well as a torque of 17.5 kgfm. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in about 10 seconds. Its top speed is around 190 km/h.

Regarding finishing, the model comes with a cover featuring the engine’s name; however, it lacks an acoustic blanket. In terms of fuel consumption, the Hyundai HB20 Platinum 2024 achieves 8.3 km/l on ethanol and 11.3 on gasoline in the city, and 9.8 km/l and 13.9, with the same fuels, respectively, on the highway.
