In terms of dimensions, the Hyundai Creta Turbo is a generous compact, measuring 4.30 meters in length, 2.61 meters in wheelbase, 1.79 meters in width, 1.63 meters in height, weighing up to 1,300 kg and accommodating 422 liters of luggage in the trunk.
The Hyundai Creta Turbo that was presented with a facelift in Asia looks less strange than the current version, and just as the brand did with the HB20, the Creta was “fixed” over there. The major difference between the current Brazilian model and the new Asian one lies in the remodeled design and the new engine. The new SUV now features a new grille with chrome triangular elements.
The headlights have also been renewed, and the setup remains divided and full LED. To complement, at the base of the bumper, there is a gray accent. On the sides, nothing too different, maintaining a two-tone paint job, up to 18-inch diamond-cut wheels, and chrome door handles and window trims.
SUV from Hyundai Receives New Engine
In terms of engine, the model that promises to lead the SUV segment is equipped with a new, unprecedented setup. It features a 1.5 Turbo four-cylinder engine that boasts direct fuel injection, and while it only runs on gasoline abroad, it will be flex-fuel in Brazil.
The vehicle delivers 162 horsepower and 24.5 kgfm of torque, capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds. Its performance is much better than what’s currently available in the country, and its fuel consumption averages are excellent, reaching 11.9 km/L in the city and 13.2 km/L on the highway.
This new engine will replace the 2.0 aspirated flex that in Brazil offers 166 horsepower and 20.6 kgfm of torque, coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Despite the good performance of the 2.0 here, the new 1.5 from the Hyundai Creta Turbo is significantly more economical.
