WDC Networks, a tech giant present in Telecommunications, Solar Energy, Data Center, and Corporate sectors, partners with Enel X Way Brazil, the innovative solutions arm of Enel, with the aim of boosting the electric and hybrid vehicle market in Brazil. The plan is to facilitate the use of clean and sustainable energy through the joint solution Enel X Way Box WDC, a compact and smart electric charging station.
Electric and hybrid vehicle owners face challenges regarding fueling infrastructure in Brazil, and this partnership aims to develop the independence of these users.
WDC Solar Adds Electric Charging Station to Its Portfolio
With this agreement, WDC Solar presents a unique opportunity for its channel and installer network. With the Waybox Enel X Way/WDC, they will be able to offer photovoltaic generator kits already marketed by WDC, thus accelerating decarbonization and electric mobility powered by clean energy.

A New Path for Solar Energy
Bruno Rigatieri, Director of New Business and Data Center at WDC Networks, sees this partnership as a way to bring a different approach to the market, as an additional product that WDC’s Solar integrators can offer their customers, integrating with the solar power generation system already installed in the residence or commercial establishment.
Paulo Maisonnave, head of Enel X Way Brazil, also celebrates the partnership, viewing it as a joint effort towards sustainability. For him, WDC’s expertise in solar panels and the scope of its distribution strength complement Enel’s mission to accelerate the decarbonization of the economy, bringing renewable energy to all customers.
The Growth of Electric Vehicles in Brazil
According to the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE), 19,579 electrified light vehicles were sold in the first four months of 2023. This represents a 51% increase over the same period last year, confirming that electric mobility is already a reality in Brazil.
The WayBox WDC emerges as a solution for this expanding market, combining comfort and sustainability. Moreover, it is easy to use, and its configuration is done via an app, allowing for simple and personalized monitoring of charges.
