Who Can Apply For The Free Online Technical Courses?
In total, there are 800 openings in courses without selection processes available at 13 on-site support centers at the Federal Institute, coordinated by the Machado and Três Corações campuses.
The centers are located in the cities of Barroso, Cambuquira, Campanha, Campo Belo, Conceição do Rio Verde, Machado, Monsenhor Paulo, Monte Sião, Nova Serrana, Paraisópolis, São Bento Abade, São Thomé das Letras, and Três Corações. The candidate must register at one of these centers, where they will necessarily participate in face-to-face meetings and activities, which represent 20% of the course workload.
To enroll in one of the free technical courses, it is mandatory to have completed high school by the date of registration. Exclusively to apply for a spot in the subsequential online technical course in Brewing, it is also mandatory to be at least 18 years old.
Having met these requirements, the candidate must register between August 8 and 27, 2024, through the Federal Institute’s website, where they must register.
For those in need, the Institute’s campuses and on-site support centers provide computers to complete the registration. It is necessary to contact the campus’s Copese or the center to schedule an appointment.
Affirmative Actions In Courses Without Selection Process
During the registration for free technical courses, the chosen type of competition must also be indicated, which can be Open Competition (45% of spots), one of the eight Affirmative Actions (50%), or spots reserved for Persons with Disabilities (5%). Among the requirements for affirmative spots for courses without selection processes are:
- Having fully completed elementary education in public schools;
- Having obtained a certificate of completion of Elementary Education based on the results of the National High School Exam (ENEM); National Exam for Certification of Competencies of Youths and Adults (ENCCEJA) or certification exams of competency, or evaluations of youths and adults carried out by state education systems;
- Having completed elementary education in regular courses or within the scope of the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) modality.
