Free Train Driver Course: Spots and Priority
The initiative plans to open two classes still in 2025, each with 40 spots, totaling 80 new drivers in training throughout the year.
According to information from Motiva, the selection will prioritize candidates residing in Itapevi, Jandira, Barueri, Carapicuíba, Osasco, São Paulo, Cotia, Taboão da Serra, and Embu das Artes.
This strategy aims to enhance local labor and facilitate the mobility of professionals, promoting social inclusion and job generation in areas with high passenger circulation.
Technical Training and the Routine of the Railway Operator
The free train driver course offers comprehensive training, focusing on technical subjects, safety standards, public service, and essential practical simulations for the daily life of the railway operator.
In-person classes will be held at night for three months at the Senai Vila Leopoldina unit, located in the West Zone of São Paulo.
The evening format allows participants who already work in other sectors to balance training with other activities, increasing the reach of the initiative.
Who Can Participate in the Free Train Driver Course
Eligible to participate in the selection process are individuals aged 24 and older, who have completed high school and demonstrate availability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
According to Motiva, the training meets the technical and operational requirements of rail transport, preparing candidates for real situations that are part of the driver’s routine, such as activating systems, monitoring equipment, and safety procedures in case of incidents.
CLT Benefits and Career Plan for New Operators
The course proposal goes beyond technical training: Motiva emphasizes that all approved and certified students may be hired under CLT (Consolidation of Labor Laws), as new positions become available in the six months following the completion of the training.
This model enhances immediate employability chances in a sector recognized for stability and offering a structured career plan.
Among the main attractions for those seeking to enter the profession are the employment benefits offered by Motiva.
Train operators have a package that includes medical and dental assistance, meal or food vouchers, transportation vouchers, private pension, profit-sharing (PLR), maternity leave of 180 days, paternity leave of 20 days, childcare assistance, and access to the Wellhub program (formerly Gympass), aimed at encouraging physical activity and well-being.
Additionally, working at the company takes place in a regulated environment, with labor guarantees and rights established by law, a valued characteristic in the Brazilian job market.
Application Process for the Free Train Driver Course
Those interested in participating in the free train driver training course must register by August 1st, exclusively through the Gupy platform, on the dedicated page for Motiva’s selection process.
It is essential to present documentation proving educational background and minimum age, as well as demonstrating availability for the in-person training stages and for the subsequent work regime.
Selection criteria include profile analysis, interviews, and, eventually, behavioral assessment according to standards established by the company in partnership with Senai.
