JBS Is One of the Largest Employers in the Country

A recent study conducted by the Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas (Fipe), in partnership with the Regional and Urban Economics Center of the University of São Paulo (Nereus), revealed that JBS is responsible for generating approximately 3 million direct jobs, indirect and induced jobs across Brazil. Additionally, the company accounted for 2.10% of Brazil’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2021, contributing to 2.73% of the total jobs in the country.

JBS invests in innovative activities conducted with a focus on excellence, food safety, and adopting the best sustainability practices throughout the value chain with operations in a diversified production and distribution platform.

The multinational is currently present in 15 countries, with over 400 production units and offices, generating more than 250,000 direct jobs worldwide.
