The City Hall of Rio, through the Municipal Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation (SMCTI), announces an innovative initiative to boost digital inclusion and professional training in the city. Over 2,800 spots in free courses, technology workshops, and entrepreneurship are open for this month of February, offered at the Satellite Naves and Carioca Navezinhas.
Courses Range From Artificial Intelligence to 3D Modeling
With the goal of preparing citizens for the job market of the future, the SMCTI offers a variety of free qualification courses and workshops covering current and relevant topics. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about:
- Artificial Intelligence: exploring its history and practical applications in daily life.
- ChatGPT: uncovering how this innovative tool works and its features.
- Operating Systems: mastering the use of Windows, MacOS, and Linux.

Satellite Naves and Carioca Navezinhas: Spaces for Learning and Connectivity
The Satellite Naves and Carioca Navezinhas are public spaces equipped with computers and free internet, where citizens can participate in free training courses, workshops, and other educational activities. The Satellite Naves operate from Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, and on Saturdays, from 8 AM to 12 PM. The Carioca Navezinhas operate from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.
